St. Joseph’s Hospital – Roma is looking to hire a Pharmacy Technician to maintain high standards of care and service by ensuring an efficient workflow within the pharmacy. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for this position.
RELATIONS: Reports directly to the Pharmacist
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, the incumbent is responsible for preparing and dispensing all prescribed medications by medical officers, inventory management, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Record keeping of incoming and outgoing drugs.
Checking of drug stores, especially in the wards.
Checking of prescriptions to advise Medical Officers /junior staff accordingly.
Ensuring that drugs kept in store are in good order to be consumed by patients, e.g., not expired.
Regular supply of information on drugs available in the pharmacy to the medical personnel.
Dispensing of drugs to the patients.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time, etc
JOB REQUIREMENTS
A diploma in Pharmacy Technology or any related science.
Two years of working experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
Registration with the Lesotho Medical, Dental, and Pharmacy Council with up to date subscription.
Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail.
