chalTebellong LECSA Hospital in Qacha’s Nek is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position;
JOB TITLE: PHARMACIST
SUPERVISOR: MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT
JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Medical Superintendent, the incumbent oversees the daily running of the pharmacy department. He/she is responsible for ordering medicine and supplies and ensuring intact systems for delivery of services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the quantification of medicines used at district and health facility levels
- Coordinate and implement medicines inventory management and address discrepancies as reported
- Conduct supportive supervision on user departments and health facilities under the hospital to improve rational use of medicines, storage, stock management and dispensing practices
- Strengthen storage standards of medicines, supplies and equipment, and ensure maintenance of optimal environmental conditions for medicines.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly pharmacy department reports for management and clinical meetings
- Supervise the pharmacy department staff
JOD REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Pharmacy
- Valid retention certificate of the Lesotho Medical, Dental and Pharmacy Council
- At least 5 years working experience as a Pharmacy Technician/Pharmacist
