The Hospital is inviting highly qualified professionals to apply for the position of Medical Laboratory Technologist.
Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Senior Laboratory Technologist, a Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing various technical tasks to support research and clinical lab operations, ensuring that test results and experiments run smoothly and produce accurate results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing Laboratory Tests: A Lab Tech conducts various laboratory tests and analyses across different disciplines for the Hospital and its Health centers, such as clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and molecular diagnosis.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Lab Techs adhere to strict quality control and assurance protocols to ensure the accuracy, precision, and reliability of laboratory testing.
- Interpreting Test Results: Lab Techs interpret test results, analyze data, and identify abnormalities or irregularities indicative of disease, infection, or other health conditions.
- Documenting and Reporting: Lab Techs maintain detailed records of laboratory procedures, test results, and patient information.
- Training and Development for the lab: Lab Techs Participate in training and workshops directed toward the improvement of laboratory services
- Lab Techs also perform any other duties that may be necessary occasionally.
Job Requirements
- A diploma in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences. A degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage.
- 2 years of working experience.
- Organization and time management skills
- Record keeping
- Good communication skills
