The Embassy of Japan has donated CHAL

The Embassy of Japan has donated CHAL an ambulance which was handed over to Maluti Adventist Hospital; which is one of the eight hospitals operated by CHAL. Deputy Minister of Health, Mrs. ‘Manthabiseng Phohleli and Minister Counselor, Mr. Shuichiro Kawaguchi of the Embassy of Japan in Pretoria were present at this event.

Commemorations for wold TB Day

St. Margaret and Mosite Health Centres commemorated the World TB day; which is celebrated on the 24th March annually worldwide. The commemorations were aligned with the 2019 theme: ‘’Its time’’

Motsekuoa Health Centre opened the new waiting mothers' lodge

Deputy Minister of Health, Mrs. ‘Manthabiseng Phohleli opened the new waiting mothers’ lodge, Motsekuoa Health Centre, Mafeteng. This new development will accommodate expecting mothers from villages far from the health centre and areas around Mafeteng. The waiting mothers lodge will accommodate at least 13 people. Community health workers were also awarded certificates for the good jobs they are doing for the community; at this event. Best performing staff members of the facility were also recognised and awarded certificates for good performance. The three expecting mothers who were already benefiting from this new building were also given presents.

WHO WE ARE

CHAL is a voluntary organization of six member churches, namely; The Anglican Church in Lesotho, The Assemblies of God Church, The Assemblies of God Church, The Lesotho Evangelical Church in Southern Africa, The Roman Catholic Church, and The Seventh Day Adventist Church of Southern Africa. The Association was registered in Lesotho in 1974 under the Societies Act following some historical developments briefly discussed below. CHAL currently provides about 40% of health care in Lesotho and is a key partner of the GoL in the health sector. Among the member churches they own 8 hospitals and 71 health centres throughout Lesotho
